Double Hung Replacement Windows
Double-Hung Window Details:
The Double-Hung windows are by far the most widely used type of window in the U.S. They maintain a traditional appearance and function by sliding up and down.
Double-Hung has two vertically sliding sashes. They can be raised from the bottom or lowered from the top for two levels of ventilation. The sashes on a Double-Hung window overlap slightly and tilt in for easy cleaning. Currently, most new Double-Hung sash windows use spring balances to support the sashes.
These windows work best for a window opening that is much taller than it is wide. Providing the capability to open the top sash allows ventilation without the headache of papers being blown off of your tables.
